Troy Warin Kanchananurag is a 21-year-old composer from Thailand and an undergraduate student in Music Composition at the College of Music, Mahidol University. He began his musical training at the Mahidol Young Artist Music Program (YAMP) as a classical piano major under Dr. Teeranai Jirasirikul before shifting his focus to composition, motivated by a growing interest in sound, structure, and musical process. Troy has emerged as a promising young composer, winning a prize in the 2024 SCG Young Thai Artist Competition (YTA) and receiving Third Prize in the 2025 Young Artist Music Competition (YAMC) Composition category. His work has also gained international recognition, with one of his pieces selected for performance at the 20th World Saxophone Congress in Harbin, China (July 26–31, 2025). Currently studying composition with Dr. Narong Prangcharoen, his interests focus on late 19th- to 21st-century music, with particular emphasis on spectralism, contemporary compositional techniques, and the exploration of timbre, harmony, and acoustic phenomena.
