Brisbane, Australia
I am a 16 year-old emerging composer from Brisbane, Australia, in addition to being a singer and saxophonist. I enjoy writing music for symphony orchestras! My musical journey began with singing, which has been a huge part of my life for over a decade, beginning when I was only 4 years old. I later picked up the saxophone when I was 11, which provided me with more exposure to instrumental music and writing for larger ensembles. I began composing at 14 in classroom music, encouraging me to write a wide variety of pieces ranging from pop to orchestral. My compositional style was originally more vocal-based coming from a background in singing. However, when I was 15, I discovered my love for orchestral compositions, when I simply changed the vocal line I had written to a flute line. I love creating rich, grand and triumphant pieces using the full vastness of a symphony orchestra, enabling my compositional style to evolve into something more classical, and instrumental. I love mixing the various timbres in the orchestra to create an effect that all listeners can enjoy.
